Mr. Griggs, son of L. T. Griggs and Pauline Johnson Griggs, was born in Natchez, MS and died in Ferriday. He was a retired water plant supervisor. He also served in the United States Army earning an honorable discharge.

He is survived by his children, Malcolm and Deja Griggs; his wife, Lisa Williams Griggs; his siblings, Ronnie Griggs, Lonnie Griggs, Jessie Green, Elnora Griggs, Colleen Griggs, all of Ferriday; Dalton Griggs of Riverdale, GA; Morris Griggs of Atlanta, GA; Robert Griggs of Rex, GA; Constance Manaigo of Douglasville, GA; Wanda Lee of Forest Park, GA; Paula K. Griggs of Hampton, GA; one grandchild, Justin Brooks, Jr. of Ferriday.

Also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

He is preceded in death by his parents, four siblings, L. T. Griggs, Gregory Green, Michael Griggs and Edgar Griggs.
