Graveside services for Helen D. Lyles, 72, of Belle Chasse, LA formerly  of Vidalia, LA were held April 2, 2020 at the Vidalia Cemetery in Vidalia, LA.

Mrs. Lyles, daughter of Percy and Mary Lyons, was born in Vidalia and died at the Riverbend Nursing and Rehab Center in Belle Chase, LA. Mrs. Lyles was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Percy Lyons and his wife, Leontine.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen Ruffin and her husband, Sidney; and her sons, Jermaine Igiozee (Christa) and Ja'Ryan Monette all of New Orleans;  Jennifer Omiyewo Pearl and her husband, Gerald of Vidalia and her son, Daniel Omiyewo (who Helen raided as her own, and her daughter, JeKisha Omiyewe of New Orleans; two sisters, Frances Moore of New Orleans and  Catherine Cartwright and her husband, Oliver of Vidalia. A cousin who was raised like a sister, Mary Bowser (Bobby) and their five children, of Charlotte, NC; four other she raised as her own, Andretta Beamer (Herman) of Baton Rouge, LA; Dylan Moore (Jocquel) of Austin, TX; Jason Lewis of Geismer, LA; Perchard Cartwright of Denham Springs, LA; an aunt, Mercedes Taylor, two uncles, James Bowser (Alphoan); Clarence Hudson all of Vidalia.

Also four  grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
