A memorial service will be announced at a later date for Herbert Gene Crumb,  61, of Ferriday, LA who died on January 27, 2024 at his residence.

He was born in Monterey, LA, the son of Hardy Crumb and Dorothy Lancaster Crumb who both preceded him in death.  He was a retired private investigator.

He is survived by his siblings, Hodges Crumb of Monterey; Hilary Crumb of Austin, TX; Annie Crumb Taylor and her husband, Warren of Lakewood, WA; Dorothy Thomas of San Jose, CA and Jackie Crumb of Natchez, MS.

Also one aunt, Marie Banks of Natchez, MS; two uncles, Jacob Taylor and his wife, Valerie and Robert "Rock" Davis and his wife, Patricia all of Ferriday. And a number of nieces, nephews , cousins and other relatives and friends, including Vernell Finley of Ferriday.
