Funeral services for Herman Jackson, Jr. of Waterproof, LA will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 11:00am from the Myrtle Grove Baptist Church in Waterproof. Burial will follow at the Good Samaritan Cemetery in Waterproof under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA. Visitation will be held Friday afternoon from 3 to 6pm at the funeral home. Rev. Adrian London will officiate.

Mr. Jackson,  son of Herman, Sr.  and Annie Bell Wiley Jackson, was born in Waterproof and died at the Merit Health Central Hospital in Jackson,  MS.

His survivors are: his mother of Waterproof; his wife, Valois Jackson; two children, Nathaniel Jackson of Las Vegas, NV and Felicia Jackson of Monroe, LA; three brothers, Kenneth Jackson of Waterproof; Jerome Jackson and his wife, Tammy of Kansas City, MO; Alethia Jackson of Chicago, IL; six sisters, Jill Jackson, Carrie Lee Reed and her husband, Darryl all of Chicago; Linda Crump and her husband, Horace of Waterproof; Hermanette Jackson of Houma, LA; Thelma Scott and her husband Charles of New Orleans, LA; Bessie Jackson of Kansas City, MO.

Also four grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mr. Jackson is preceded in death by his father and one brother, Robert Earl Jackson.
