Graveside  services for Herman Joseph Woods, 79, of Vidalia, LA will be held Friday, October 3, 2025 at 10am from the Natchez National Cemetery in Natchez, MS.

Mr. Woods, son of Elkin and Earline Lamey Woods was born in Biloxi, MS and died at Trinity Medical in Ferriday, LA.

He served his country in the US Army including a tour of duty during the Vietnam War, earning an honorable discharge.

He is survived by his children, David Woods and  Herman J. Woods, Jr . both of Biloxi; Michael Woods of McHenry, IL; Kyle Woods and Kathy Woods both of Houma, LA; Matthew Woods (Kari)  and Kate Guillot all of Vidalia; two  brother, Earl Woods (Bertie); one sister, Lois Parker all of Biloxi; twenty-two grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Woods is preceded in death by one son, Marshall Woods and one daughter, Angela Woods.
