J. B. Evans, Jr., 71,  was born in Wisner, LA son of J. B. and Ruby Gladys Caston Evans and died at his residence in Ridgecrest, LA. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. The scattering of his ashes will be held at a later date and will be announced by his family: his son and his wife, Jay Bryant and Dorothy Evans of Ridgecrest; one brother, Robert Evans of Ferriday, LA; two sisters, Dale Evans of Clayton, LA and Lisa Sigsworth of San Antonio, TX. Also seven grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.

Preceding Mr. Evans in death are his parents and one brother, Leroy Evans.
