Funeral services for Jacob Lewis, 67, of Ferriday, LA will be held Monday, April 3, 2023 at 11:00am from Concordia Funeral Home, 609 Alabama Ave., Ferriday.  Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery in Natchez with military honors.

Visitation will be held Monday morning from 10 to 11am at the funeral home under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home. Pastor Eddie Schiele will officiate.

Mr. Lewis, son of Sydney and Elizabeth Dellihoue Lewis was born in Ferriday and died March 25, 2023, at Camelot Leisure Living Nursing Home in Ferriday. He was a veteran of the US Army, earning an honorable discharge and a retired Louisiana State Trooper - Troop G of Shreveport, Louisiana. And, he is also retired from Angola State Prison Corrections Officer.

Jacob is survived by his two brothers, Harry Lewis of Ferriday, La., Michael Lewis of Washington, DC. His two sisters, Sandra Lewis-Brown of Ferriday, La and Tammy Lewis-Mercer(Levi) of Winnsboro, La., his aunt, Edith(Jean) Donley of Olathe, Kansas, his uncle, Harry Dellihoue of New Orleans, La.,his nieces, Gabrielle, Genese and Grace, his nephew Marcus. He also leaves a large host of cousins, other extended family and friends.

Jacob was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Joseph Lewis, his nephew, Joey Lewis, his eight aunts, Eula, Blanche, Diann, Evelyn, Mabel, Clara, Mary, and Martha. Also, preceding him in death were his seven uncles, Benny, William, Willie, John, Fred, H.M. and Toney.
