Funeral services for James E. Collins, 58, of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 11:00am from St. James Baptist Church in Frogmore, LA. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday evening from 5 to 7PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Collins, son of the late Mose and Estelle Jefferson Collins was born in Frogmore and died at Natchez Community Hospital in Natchez, MS. He was an auto mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, Gaynel Hawkins Collins; three sons, Moecke J, Hawkins and his wife Angelia; Vondell Hawkins and Johnjuan Hawkins; eight daughters, Ena H. Davis and her husband Edward; LaTakia Hawkins, Camesha H. Goings and her husband Randall; Kyara H. Brown and her husband Wendell; Myara Hawkins, Colanca Hawkins, Johnmese Hawkins, Keisho Hawkins all of Ferriday; four brothers, Mose Collins, Jr. of Monroe, LA; Lee Collins and his wife Lauretha of Ridgecrest, LA; Joseph Collins of Oakland, CA; Danny Collins and his wife Cloletha of Ferriday; five sisters, Susie Sheppard; Irene Walters and her husband Ronald; Diane Collins, Estelle Collins; Gloria Barnes and her husband, Darnell all of Ferriday; thirty eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Also one uncle, Willie James Watkins of Ferriday; two god children, Jenice Butler of Vidalia, LA ad Pamela Grayson of Blythevile, AR; eight sisters-in-law, Shirley Washington and her husband, Gene of Natchez; Patricia H. Green and her husband, Perry of Ferriday; Ava Hawkins of Detroit, MI; Brenda Hawkins of Memphis, TN; Deanna Hawkins of Beaumont, TX; Phronel H. Brown and her husband, Prince; Demetrice Hawkins both of Vidalia, LA; Kim Hawkins of Florida; two brothers-in-law, Amos Hawkins of Sicily Island, LA and Roosevelt Hawkins and his wife Gail of Vidalia and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
