Services for James "Bubba" Humphrey, 67, of Ferriday, LA will be held Monday, November 3, 2014 at 11:00am from the Mt. Beulah Baptist Church in Ferriday. Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery in Natchez, MS with Rev. Eugene Williams officiating

Mr. Humphrey, son of Selena Humphrey Cotton was born in Ferriday and died at his residence following a long illness. He was retired as a maintenance supervisor for the Montgomery Square Apartments in Ferriday. He also served in the US Army from 1966 to 1968 and was a member of Mt Beulah Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Jordan Humphrey; three sons Louis Jordan of Ferriday; Marc Humphrey of Gulfport, MS; James Humphrey and his wife, Dericka of Charleston, SC; six daughters, Archet Humphrey, Gwendolyn Atkins and her husband, Albert; Wanda Jordan all of Ferriday; Leola Carter and her husband, Kenny of Zachary, LA; Chrystal Moore of Natchez, MS; Carlena Humphrey of Gulfport; twenty grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one aunt, Ethelynne Harris of Ferriday and a number of other relatives.

He is survived by his mother.
