Funeral services for Jamie Wayne Corkern, 29, of Harrisonburg, LA will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 1:00pm from the First United Pentecostal Church in Harrisonburg. Brother Raymond Kelly, II, his uncle will officiate and burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Sicily Island, LA. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 11am to service time at the church.

Mr. Corkern, son of David Cortken and Willa Miller Sexton was born in Pontotoc, MS and died from injuries sustained in an auto accident in Harrisonburg. He was a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Amber Stewart Corkern and his children, Jamie, Jr., Hershel and Destany Corkern all of Harrisonburg; his mother and her husband, Willa M. Sexton and Bobbie of Derma, MS; a number of brothers and step brothers, three sisters, four aunts nd four uncles.

Serving as pallbearers are Raymond Kelly, III, Josh Corkern, James Kenney, Willie Bordelon, Billy Jack Bignar, Peter Cook, Trey Kelly. Honorary pallbearers are Joseph Miller, members of First United Pentecostal and family.

Jamie lived a good life and was proud of himself and his family. He will be truly missed.

His father preceded him in death.
