Funeral services for Janet "Faye" Franklin Thompson, 55, of Ferriday, LA will be held Monday, August 1, 2016 at 11am from the Harvest Baptist Church, 305 Lake Drive, Ferriday. Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery with Rev. Timothy Williams officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 4 to 7pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Thompson, daughter of John Franklin, Sr. and Annie Mae Boyd was born in Layafette, LA and died at her sister's residence in Lake Charles, LA. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her husband, Eddie Thompson, Sr.; three children, Michael Franklin; Wendell Terry Brown, Jr. and his wife, Kyara; Shanta Crumpton and her husband, Demond, Sr. all of Ferriday; nine brothers, Jim Johnson of New Orleans; Johnny Jackson, Samuel Jackson, Warren Neal and his wife, Mattie; Anthony C. Franklin all of Ferriday; James Franklin and his wife, Betty; John Franklin, Jr. and his wife, Catherine all of Jonesville, LA; Michael Castle of Morrow, LA; Rayfield Franklin of Houston, TX.

Also four sisters, Mable Jackson of Lake Charles, LA; Mary Franklin of St. Joseph, LA; Helen Baker and her husband, Darrow all of Ferriday; Judy Johnson of Houston, TX; godchild, Gloria Banks and a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Preceding her in death are her parents, three brothers, Larry, Robert and Zan Franklin; one sister who died four days prior to her passing, Lisa Sheppard.
