Funeral services for Mother Janie Mae McClain, 84, of Ferriday, LA will be held June 28, 2014 at 11:00am from Concordia Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery in Ferriday.

Mrs. McClain was born in Ferriday and died at the Heritage Manor Health and Rehab Center in Ferriday. She was a housekeeper.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. L. T. McClain and was a faithful member and Mother at St. Mark Baptist Church in Ferriday.

Mother McClain is survived by three sons, George Oneal and his companion Ruby Scott of Ferriday; Herman Oneal and his wife Nikita; Hilton Oneal and his wife Angela all of New Orleans, LA; one daughter, Scharline Brown of Ferriday; three sisters, Lizzie Powell of Clayton, LA; Willie Oneal Montgomery and Mildred Davis both of Ferriday; a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She is also preceded in death by two sons, Lutery and Eddie Oneal.
