Funeral services for Jean Carter, 67, of Ferriday, LA will be held May 13, 2014 at 11:00am from New Morning Star Baptist Church in Ferriday. Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery with Pastor Charles Minor officiating.

Mrs. Carter, daughter of Dan and Sarah Hagan Austin was born in Ferriday and died at Natchez Regional Medical Center in Natchez MS.

She is survived by her daughter, Tywanna C. Crockett and her husband, Israel; one sister Lillie Mae Deleho and her husband Cleveland; two grandchildren; two special friends, Emma Campbell and Estelle Collins all of Ferriday; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
