Funeral services for Jennifer Omiyewo, 59, of Vidalia, LA, who passed peacefully with family in New Orleans, LA, on Apr. 3, 2026, will be at 1:00 PM, Sunday, Apr. 12, 2026, at Greater Mt. Carmel M.B.C., Vidalia, with Pastor Charles Minor officiating.

Burial will follow at Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home, Ferriday, LA.

Jennifer Omiyewo was born on Jan. 10, 1967, Vidalia, LA, the daughter of Charles and Helen Lyons Lyles.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 4 to 6PM at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Percy and Mary Bowser Lyons; her parents.

Jennifer leaves to cherish her loving memories to her daughter, Jekisha Omiyewo, Houston, TX; one son, Daniel Omiyewo; one brother, Charlie Lyles, Ferriday; LA; three sisters, Karen L. Monette, New Orleans,  LA, LaShonda Mitchell, her husband Demarcus, Jasmine Lyles, both of Ferriday, LA; two grandchildren; two aunts, Frances Moore, New Orleans, LA, Catherine L. Cartwright, her husband Oliver, of Vidalia, LA; two uncles, James Bowser, his wife Alphaon, Ferriday, LA, C.T. Hudson, Houston, TX; two special nephews, Jermaine Igiozee, JaRyan Monette, both of New Orleans, LA; a special cousin, Andretta Beamer, Baton Rouge, LA; a number of nieces, nephews and good friends.
