Funeral services for Mrs. Jeraldine Townsend Harris, 62, of Ferriday, LA will be held Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 11:00am from Rosehill Baptist Church in Ferriday. Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Schiele officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5 to 7pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Harris, daughter of Percy and Alma Jones Townsend was born in Ferriday and died at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA. She was a retired Ward Clark for Riverland Medical Center and a member of the Rosehill Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board.

She is survived by her two children, Michael Townsend and his wife, LaTonya of Virginia Beach, VA; Daniel Harris of Ferriday; two brothers, Aaron Jones of Warren, OH; Willie Ray Townsend of Topeka, KS; two sisters, Alma T. Cooper and her husband, Albert; Gloria Jean Townsend all of Ferriday.

Also two grandchildren, Michael Townsend, Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA and Danasia Danielle Verbeck of Vidalia, LA.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and three siblings, Larry Townsend, Phillip Townsend and Estelle Glasper.
