Funeral services for John I. Anderson, 76, of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday morning, April 13, 2024 at 11:00am from Concordia Funeral Home, 609 Alabama Avenue, Ferriday. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 10am to service time. Pastor Eddie Schiele will officiate.

Mr. Anderson, son of David and Rosie Lee Brown Anderson, was born in Waterproof, LA and died at the Riviere DeSolei Community Care Center in Mansura, LA.

He is survived by two daughters, Monica Skipper of Ferriday and Sherry Anderson Moore of Bakersfield, California; his siblings, David Anderson and his wife, Deloris; Sylvester Anderson, Willie Anderson; Charles Anderson  and his wife, Mary Jane; and Carolyn Marie "Ree" Anderson all of Ferriday; James Anderson and his wife, Andrea and Henry Louis Anderson and his wife, Lucy all of Natchez, MS; Robert Anderson and his wife, Robin of Monroe, LA.  Also one aunt, Vina Matthews and her husband, Louis "Slick" Matthews, Sr. of Ferriday and a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. And lastly,  his special caregiver, Lillie White

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Thomas "Pig" Anderson and Emma Green.
