Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Lee Mayberry, 92, of Natchez, MS will be held Saturday, December  20, 2025 at 11:00am from the Living Word Worship Center, 8 Covington Road, Natchez, MS under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4 to 6pm at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest beside his wife, Idell Lewis Mayberry  on Monday, December 22, 2025 at 4:00pm at the Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery in Natchez. Minister Rodney Lee Mayberry will officiate.

Mr. Mayberry, son of Leroy and Mary McPhail Mayberry was born in Leesdale, MS and died at Merit Health Natchez. He is a retired logger and the oldest member of Living Word Worship Center pastored by Pastor Dwight Greene. He loved singing old-time hymns at church. One of his favorite   was "I'm a Hard Fighting Soldier on the Battlefield Bringing Souls to Jesus by the Service that I Give."

He is survived by his loving family: his children, Jerome Mayberry and Lawrence "L.V." Mayberry (LaWanda) of Natchez; Minister Rodney Mayberry (Beverly), Doretha Mayberry all of San Angelo, TX; Olivia Mayberry of Ferriday; Johnnie Mae Anderson of Pearl, MS; Mary A. Flanagan (Jerome) of Denison, TX; Maggie Anderson (Ronald) of Clinton, MS; two siblings, Rayford Mayberry of Natchez and Pauline Ford (Jack) of McDonough, GA; one sister-in-law, Edna Mayberry.

In addition to nineteen grandchildren twenty-nine great-grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and his church family at Living Word.
