Funeral services for Johnny Ray Thomas, 67, of Monroe, LA formerly of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 11:00am from the St. James Baptist Church on Skipper Drive in Ferriday. Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday. Visitation will be held Friday afternoon at the Union Chapel Baptist Church, 3816 Segrest Mercy St. in Monroe, LA from 3 to 6pm. Pastor Auburn Robinson, Sr. will officiate.

Mr. Thomas, son of Sam and Sarah Mae Woodfrok Thomas was born in Ferriday and died at his residence in Monroe.

His survivors are five brothers, Joe Thomas, Richard Thomas and his wife, Ingrid; Willie Thomas and his wife, Audrey all of Baton Rouge, LA; Gip Thomas and his wife, Octavia of Orange, TX; J. D. Thomas of Tucson, AZ; two sisters, Mildred Thomas of Monroe and Sarah Thomas of Ferriday.

Also two uncles, John Hicks and his wife, Selena of Natchez, MS and Abner Hicks of Sacramento, CA. And a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
