Funeral services for Josie Watson Gilmore, 87, of Baton Rouge, LA formerly of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 11:00am from Concordia Funeral Home, Inc., 609 Alabama Avenue, Ferriday, LA 71334. Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery with Ashanti Witherspoon officiating.

Mrs. Gilmore, daughter of Norman and Beatrice Craven Gilmore was born in Lismore, LA and died at the Baton Rouge Health Care Facility in Baton Rouge.

She is survived by her children, Joseph Watson, Jr. (Sunthre) of Little Rock, AR; Terry Watson of New Orleans, LA; Gracie Gilmore Witherspoon (Morris) of Baton Rouge; Beatrice Watson Edmondson (Billy) of Cavot, AR; Dora Gilmore of Monroe, LA; Wilma Anderson (Ted) of California; her siblings, Vance Gilmore (Teresa) of Grand Prairie, TX; Marilyn Gilmore Bergeron of Jonesville, LA; Tracy Gilmore of Alexandria, LA.

Also thirteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceding Mrs. Gilmore in death are her parents, one brother, Carl Gilmore and one sister, Dixie Banks.
