Services for Kevin Brooks, 36, of Ferriday, LA who died Aug. 23, 2018, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Word of Faith Ambassador Worship Center in Ferriday with Rev. Theodore Walker officiating. Burial will follow at the St. James Baptist Church Cemetery in Frogmore,  LA under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5 to 7pm at the funeral home.

Kevin Brooks was born October 9, 1981 in Ferriday, the son of Johnny Jackson and Mary Brooks Hampton.

Mr. Brooks was a dedicated Overnight Support employee of Walmart #1106 in Vidalia, LA for 12 years.

He was preceded in death by one aunt, Rose Brown; two uncles, Willie Brooks and Roosevelt Brooks.

Survivors include his father, Johnny Jackson; his mother and her husband, Mary Brook Hampton and John of Ferriday;  four brothers, Johnny Brooks of Natchez, MS; Lavon Brooks, Karl Hall and Malik Hampton, all of Ferriday; three sisters, Lubertha Jackson of  Ferriday, Melissa Jackson of Alexandria, LA, Felicia Jackson of  Monroe, LA; two aunts, Kathleen Brooks of  Ferriday;  Georgia Potters and Vidalia, LA;  two uncles, Carl Brooks Phoenix, AZ and  Roosevelt Brooks, Sr. of  Ruston, LA; two special friends, Stephanie Lewis of Ferriday and  Tara Mitchell of Natchez, MS.

And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
