Funeral services for Rev. L. B. Oliver, Sr., 86, of Clayton, LA will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11:00am from the St. Mark Baptist Church, 31309 Hwy 15, in Clayton, LA. Burial will follow at the Zion Church Cemetery in Foules, LA with Rev. Reuben Oliver and Rev. Ike Byrd officiating under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA.

Visitation will be held Friday morning from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the funeral home; Friday afternoon from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the St. Paul Baptist Church at 511 8th Street in Monroe, LA; and again Saturday morning from 9:00am to service time at St. Mark Baptist Church in Clayton.

Rev. Oliver, son of Ben and Rosie Campbell Oliver was born in Foules, LA and died at his residence. He was the Pastor and overseer of St. Paul Baptist Church and Avenue Baptist Church in Monroe, LA and St. Paul Baptist Church in Sicily Island, LA; St. James Baptist Church in Frogmore, LA and Maitland Baptist Church Foules, LA. He enjoyed fishing and gardening in his spare time.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Arthur, Andrew, Joseph, Solomon, Robert, Ben, Booker, Gabriella; one son, Lonnie, Jr. and his first wife, mother of his children, Margaret Long Oliver.

Rev. Oliver is survived by his wife of twenty two years, Dorothy Caston Oliver of Clayton; his children, Shirley (Kenny); Belinda; Reuben (Martha Sue); Joyce (Charles); Lyna (George); Darryl(Jackie); Greg (Alisha); Audrey (Ronald); Trinity (Yolanda); his step children, Cedric (Tressie); Andre' (Anya); Jennifer (Carlin).

Also one brother, Louis (Mary Ann); one sister, Julia; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, his devoted church members, friends, neighbors and other relatives.
