Funeral services for Larry Sims, 62, of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 12:00 noon from the Old St. Reed Baptist Church at Levee Heights, in Ferriday. Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery with Rev. Jarrod Bottley officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 to 7PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Sims, son of David and Arbetta Griffin Sims was born in Spearsville, LA and died at his residence. He was a forklift operator.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Turner Sims of Ferriday; one son, Jonathan Gray of Monroe, LA; one step son, Christopher Turner of Clayton, LA; two daughters, Shanetra Turner and Tierra Turner both of Ferriday; step-daughter, Jameka Turner of Houston, TX; one brother, Bennie Loyd and his wife, Dorothy of Ferriday; three sisters, Betty LaCaze of Spearsville; Ruth DeBurr and her husband, Johnny of Monroe, LA; Diane Dredd and her husband, Donald of Ruston, LA.

Also three grandchildren, ZaRon Williams, Jr., ZaMarion Williams and Christopher Turner, Jr; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mr. Sims is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Harold Loyd, Rueben Sims and James Sims; and one sister, Faye Ard
