Services for Laura S. Bowman, 73, Ferriday, LA, who died Feb. 17, 2014, at Riverland Medical Center, will be at 2:00 PM at Rufus B.C., with the Rev. Michael Reed officiating.

Burial will follow at Clayton Garden of Rest Cemetery, Clayton, LA, under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4-7 PM at the funeral home.

Her survivors includes Her survivors includes four sons; Louis Bowman, Jr., Robert Bowman,Tyrone Bowman, Lavon Bowman; one step-son, Hebert Washington (Karen), all of Ferriday, LA; six daughters, Ollie Hampton (Sam), Shirley Coleman (Eddie), Rose Taylor (Bobby), Sharika Watson (Sugar Ray), Sharon Bowman, all of Ferriday, LA, Geraldine James (Donald) of Natchez, MS; three step-daughters, Deloris Washington, New Orleans, LA, Jennifer Meredith, Sandra Cauley, both of Ferriday, LA; three brothers, Roosevelt Murray, Ferriday, LA, Johnny Washington (Elaine), Baton Rouge, LA, Willie McGee (Debra), Vidalia, LA; three sisters, Theresa Washington (Luther), Atlanta, GA, Mary Moore, Kansas City, KS, Lula Washington, Jonesville, LA; thirty-four grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; one aunt, Jessie Taylor, Monticello, MS; and numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gus McGee, Joseph Brown, one son, Session Bosley, Jr., one daughter, Doris Lewis, her husband, Louis Bowman.
