Funeral services for Laura L. Davis, 78, of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 11:00am from the Word of Faith Ambassador Outreach Church in Ferriday. Burial will follow at the Consurella Cemetery on Lake St. John under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4 to 6pm at the funeral home. Pastor Danny Lewis will officiate.

Mrs. Davis, daughter of Frank Williams and Dorothy Davis, was born in Waterproof, LA and died at her residence. She was a member of the New Morning Star Baptist Church in Ferriday where she sang in the  church choir.

She is survived by three sons, James "Blue" Davis and his wife, Lynette of Snellville , GA; Lawrence Davis and his wife, Magnolia of Ferriday; Alfred Davis and his wife Velta of Lafayette, LA; four daughters, Sarah Davis, Dr. Carol Williams and her husband, Barry, Debra Harris and her companion Rickey Koon all of Ferriday; Glenda Bailey of Vidalia, LA; one brother, Willie Davis and his wife, Shirley of St. Joseph, LA; three sisters, Jean Davis of Monroe, LA, Eva Smith and her husband,  Eldon of Hephzibah, GA and Paula Davis of Huntsville, TX; twenty two grandchildren and a number of great and great-great-grandchildren. Also a special cousin, Louis Washington of Lake St, John.

Preceding her in death are her parents; six siblings, Jerry Bottley, Rosie Stacker, Augustine, Julia, Diane and Delores Davis; two grandsons, LaDrian Davis and Fred McCray, Jr.; one great-granddaughter, Jacee Scott
