Funeral services for Laura T. Guice, 82, of Waterproof, LA will be held Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 1:00pm from the Myrtle Grove Baptist Church in Waterproof. Burial will follow at the Myrtle Grove Cemetery under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA. Rev. Samuel Guice will officiate. Visitation will be held Friday, February 14 from 5 to 6pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Guice, daughter of David and Florida Singleton Guice, was born in St. Joseph, LA and died at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Johnny Guice, Sr. and two children, Eugene Guice and Uradell Guice and a number of siblings.

Her survivors are: three sons, Stanley Guice and his wife, Christine; Johnny Guice, Jr. and Willard Guice and his wife, Fadetma all of Houston, TX; seven daughters, Debra G. Smith; Felicia Guice and her husband, Larry all of Waterproof; Wanda Jordan and her husband, LeVandia, Jr. of Arlington, TX; Lavon Guice of Houston, TX; Jada Mae and her husband, Grazier of Cedar Hill, TX; Laura Portley of Mansfield, TX; special grandson, Deondrae Guice of Arlington, TX; a good friend, Minor Thompson of Natchez, MS.

Also a host of grandchildren and  great-grandchildren.
