Memorial services for Lonnie Matthews, 62, of Ferriday, LA will be held October 11, 2014 at 10:30am from the Harvest Baptist Church in Ferriday with Pastor Charles Chandler officiating.

Mr. Matthews, one of a set of triplets was born in Natchez, MS and died at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA.

He is survived by his mother, Florence Matthews of Ferriday; one daughter, Kalevia Lewis; two sons, Lonnie Juan Matthews and his wife, Aneka all of Dallas, TX; Shane McCloy and his wife, Carrissa of Kenner, LA; three grandchildren, Israel Matthews, Amira Florence Matthews and Lonqonjy all of Dallas; two sisters, Carrie M. Lewis and her husband, Stephen of Monroe, LA; Dorothy M. Parker and her husband, Joseph, of Clayton, LA; five brothers, Andrew Bush and his wife, Glenda, of Baton Rouge, LA; Lewis Matthews, Sr. and his wife, Vina; Donnie and Ronnie Matthews all of Feriday; Harlon Matthews and his wife, Jacquie of Monroe, LA; one aunt, Mary Ann Burden of Vidalia, LA; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charlie Wilson; four brothers, Charles, Harry, Sr., Clarence and Jerry Matthews.
