Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Reed Carter, 86, of Vidalia, LA will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 11:00am from Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Concordia Park, Vidalia, LA. Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Natchez, MS. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4 to 6pm at Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA. Rev. Earnest Ford will officiate.

Mrs. Carter, daughter of Grant Reed and Viola Carroll was born in Waterproof, LA and died at the Hospice of Baton Rouge in Baton Rouge, LA. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Jesse Reed and his wife, Verrie of Natchez, MS; two daughters, Dorothy White of Chicago, IL and Gladys Scott of Baton Rouge; seven grandchildren and a number of other relatives, friends and loved ones.

Preceding her in death are her parents and her husband, Fred Carter.
