Funeral services for Lucinda Betty Holmes Morris, 97, of Ferriday, LA formerly of New Orleans, LA will be held Friday, February 5, 2016 at 11:00am from the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ferriday. Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery in Natchez, MS with Father Paul officiating.

Mrs. Morris, daughter of Hamp and Alberta Holmes was born in New Orleans and died at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday. She was a retired school teacher and the widow of the late James W. Morris, a retired Army veteran. She was of the Catholic faith.

She is survived by her special nephew and caregiver, Renard Cage and his wife, Vanessa; a special niece and caregiver, Eliza Cage all of Ferriday; and a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Alice Morris.
