Funeral services for Luvenson Sowell, 58, of Lake Charles, LA formerly of Vidalia, LA will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 1:00pm from Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday, LA. Burial will follow at the Vidalia Cemetery in Vidalia. Pastor Crownie Harbor will officiate.

Mr. Sowell, son of Freddie and Ruby Smith Sowell was born in Shreveport, LA and died from injuries sustained in an auto accident in Egan, LA. He was a farmer.

He is survived by his mother of Vidalia; his siblings, Patrick Sowell and Melody both of Vidalia; Clifford Sowell of Sacramento, CA; Connie Taylor of Ferriday; aunts, Merea Davis, Rose Smith, Sybil Smith, Helen Jackson, Irene Lewis, Mary Smith and Dorothy Lewis; uncles, Willie Smith, OB Smith, Calvin Smith, Jimmie Smith and  James Louis.

Mr. Sowell is preceded in death by his father and one brother, Freddie, Jr.; one aunt, Alberta Lewis and two uncles, William Smith and Otis Smith.
