Funeral services for Madeline Scott, 77, of Vidalia, LA, will be held   at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March  7, 2026, at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Vidalia, with Pastor Raymond Riley officiating. Burial will follow at the Vidalia Cemetery under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 3 to 5PM at the funeral home.

Madeline Scott was born May 4, 1948 to Jessie and Mary Eliza Saul- Scott in Vidalia, LA and died at Trinity Hospital in Ferriday.

Sister Scott was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents,  Charlie and Annie Reed, Dan Saul and Charlotte Wallace- Saul.  Two sisters, Rhoda Whitley and Shirley Trust-Bowman.  Two brothers, Louis Barry Scott and Don Scott Sr. Three aunts, Stella Davis-Barksdale, Beatrice Saul and Charlotte Young. Six uncles, Jim Saul, Louis Saul, Elijah Saul, Jimmy Scott, Clifton Scott and Robert James Scott.

Sis Scott is survived by her son, Cedric (Brenda)Scott Sr., three sisters: Delores Bell, Alma (Leonard) Bowman and Henrietta (Carl) Ryan all of Vidalia, LA; seven grandchildren, Dedrick Scott of Natchez, MS, Darrius Thompson and Jarius Thompson of Baton Rouge, LA, Cedric M. Scott Jr., Briana Scott and Sedrethia Griffin of Natchez and Adriana Scott of Vidalia, LA.  Sis. Scott also has nine great grandchildren. She also reared her nephew,, the late  Don Scott Jr  , Keristen Williams and Jessica Scott. One great nephew Ke'Eddrick Williams and one great niece Kayondra Williams and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
