Funeral services for Mrs. Maeola Turner, 79, of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 1100am from New Morning Star Baptist Church in Ferriday. Burial will follow at the Vidalia Cemetery in Vidalia, LA with Rev. Michael Smith officiating.

Mrs. Turner was born in Vidalia and died at her residence following a long illness.

She is survived by her husband, Willie Turner of Ferriday; two step sons, Ed McCraney and James Anderson of Natchez, MS; five daughters, Lillian Turner and Brenda Turner of Ferriday; Idelle Washington of Columbia, MS; Bobbie Turner of Atlanta, GA; Joyce White of Port Gibson, MS; one step-daughter, Gloria Turner of Natchez; four sisters, Loretha Hogan of Ferrday; Lee Esther Marshall of Los Angeles, CA; Annie B. Marshall of St. Joseph, LA; Rita Hunt of Vidalia; twelve grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Turner is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Esther Riley.
