Funeral services for Mary T. Brown, 89, of San Mateo, CA, formerly of Vidalia, LA will be held Friday, April 26, 2019 at 11:00am from Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA. Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery in Natchez, MS.

Mrs. Brown, daughter of Montgomery and Lenora Swan Tibbs was born in Vidalia and died at her residence in San Mateo, CA. She a retired Lead Cook for the Saint Matthews Catholic Church in San Mateo. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending quality time with her family. She was a collector of distinctive figurines, crystal vases and fine chinaware.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, Eddie Brown, four children, Diane Martin, Sandra Bruns, Beverly Lanzilla and Lenora Stroughter.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her sister, Jennie T. Hagan of Vidalia, LA; one son, Alfred Tibbs ; two daughters, Carolyn Washngton and Joyce Mahaney

all of San Mateo. Also fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

I did not ask Thee, Lord, to take away the thorns that grew
