Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Louise Hampton Givens, 85, of Gretna, LA formerly of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 12:00 noon from Mercy Seat Baptist Church in Ferriday. Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery with Pastor Danny Lewis officiating.

Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5 to 7pm at Concordia Funeral Home, 609 Alabama Avenue, Ferriday, LA.

Mrs. Givens, daughter of John and Eloise Moore Hampton, was born in Gilbert, LA and died at her daughter's home in Gretna, LA. She was retired from Concordia Parish School System as a food server with twenty three years of service. She was also a member of Mercy Seat Church.

She is survived by one son, Gary Hampton and his wife, Lillie of Geismar, LA; two daughters, Linda Givens of Gretna; Pamela Jackson and her husband, Roy Jackson, Sr. of Biloxi, MS; two sisters, Rosa Lee Warner of Vidalia, LA; Faye Thompson and her husband, Rodney of Ferriday.

Also four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
