Services for Melvin Brown, III, of Harker Heights, TX, formerly of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 2:00pm from Greater St. Reed Baptist Church in Ferriday. Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery with Bishop Justin Conner officiating.
Mr. Brown, son of Melvin and Ruby Henderson Brown was born in Galveston, TX and died at Seton Medical Center in Harker Heights. He was a custodian.
He is survived by his father, Melvin Brown, Jr. and his wife, Rose; one brother, Tony Brown all of Harker Heights; maternal grandmother, Alberta Henderson of Ferriday; a number of aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death are his mother, Ruby H. Brown; maternal grandfather, Wilbert Henderson, Sr., paternal grandparents, Melvin Brown, Sr. and Ella Mae Hopkins.
