Graveside services for Mercedes Bowser Taylor, 89, of Vidalia, LA will be held Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 2:00pm at the Vidalia Cemetery under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA. Pastor Troy Thomas will officiate. Visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00pm to 1:30pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Taylor, daughter of  Issac and Emma Brown Bowser was born in New Orleans and died at the Camelot Leisure Home in Ferriday. She was a retired cook.

Her survivors include her children, Bobby Bowser and his wife, Mary Ann of North Carolina; Elbert Charles Bowser and his wife, Clara of Columbus, MS; Ivory Dean Bowser and his wife, Margaret; Larry Bowser and his wife, Hattie; Donald Taylor and his wife, Lisa; Marion Dennis and her husband, Richard all of Vidalia; Annie Ruth Webb of Ferriday; two brothers, James Bowser and his wife, Alphoan of Ferriday and C. T. Hudson of Vidalia.

Also a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband. Preston Taylor; three children, Preston Bowser, Patricia Bowser; one brother, Issac Bowser and one sister, Mary Lyons.
