Funeral services for Minnie Leonard Brooks, 89, of Ferriday, LA, who died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, at her residence, will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Zion Hill BC.

Burial will follow at the St. James BC cemetery, Frogmore, LA, under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6PM at Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Brooks was born May 23, 1929, in Frogmore, LA, the daughter of Eddie and Virginia Johnson Fletcher.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Frank Fleming, Fleming Mitchell, Dave Fletcher, Virginia Griggs, Joseph Fletcher, Ophelia Booker, Frozina Fetcher and Ruth Savage.

Survivors include her five sons, Willie Fletcher (Elinor), Rome, NY, Kevin Brooks (Benedra), Ferriday, LA, Dickie Brooks, Alexandria, LA, Paul Brooks (Maleia), Rydell Brooks, both of Texas City, TX; five daughters, Ollie M. Brooks, Lavern Brooks, Betty Brooks (Eddie Lee), Linda Ezell (Fredrick), all of Ferriday, LA, Pat Smith (Frank), of Lawrence, GA; a host of grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren; a other relatives and friends.
