Funeral services for Mona Marie Smith, 67, of Tioga, LA will be held   Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 2:00pm from the Acme Baptist Church in Acme, LA under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA. Burial will follow at the Acme Church Cemetery with Pastor Eric Laird officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 8am to service time at the church.

Mrs. Smith, daughter of Woodrow and Gladys Mills, was born in Albuquerque, NM and died at the Tioga Community Care Center in Tioga. She was a retired registered nurse.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Robert Smith of Colfax, LA; one sister, Andrea Espinoza of Longview, LA; two nephews, Terrance and Steven Lachney; five nieces, Jessica, Angela and Trina Cerbus; Brandy Lachney and Ambrosia Cruz. Also four great nephews and fourteen great nieces; in addition to her close friends, Kenneth and Earlene Abercrombie and Mark Desoto.

Preceding Mrs. Smith in death are her parents and a sister, Juanita Denise Willett.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Steven Lachney, Jr., Eric Marler, Gabriella Lachney, Julianna Lachney, Steven Bush and Matthew Paul.
