Funeral services for Mrs. Nina James, 99, of Ferriday, LA will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 10:00am from the St. James Baptist Church on Skipper Drive in Ferriday. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 4 to 6pm at the funeral home. She will be interred beside her husband, Jack James at the Natchez National Cemetery in Natchez, MS.

Mrs. James, daughter of Jimmy and Rose Hall Williams was born in Ferriday and died ten months before her 100th birthday at her residence. She was a member of St. James Baptist Church where she served as church secretary for many years.

She is survived by two children, Robert James and his wife Sandra of San Antonio, TX; Doris Schiele and her husband, Rev. Eddie Schiele of Ferriday; four grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mrs. James is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one son who died at a very young age.
