Funeral services for Nyesha Darsha Day, 24, of Clayton, LA will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 1:00pm from the Sunflower Baptist Church in Ferriday, LA. Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery with Pastor Phaion Thomas officiating. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4 to 6pm at the funeral home.

Miss Day, daughter of Earnest Jackson, III and  Tawana Day Sommersville  was born in Ferriday and died at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her mother, Tawana D. Sommersville and her husband, Jazzabo of Little Rock, AR; two children, Tyler and Isabella Flournoy; five brothers, Earnest Jackson, IV of Cartersville, GA; Jazzabo Sommersville, III &  Jha-Nnagee of Little Rock; Sommersville; Mnyveni Jackson & Kwa Hyndai Day of Ferriday; step brother, Jammarriys Sommersville of Ferriday; eight  sisters, Wy'Quidei Day and Tiera Skipper both of Ferriday; JhazWyZaghea Sommersville; JhaCauGhee Sommersville; Jhaz-Najia Sommersville all of Little Rock; Ebony and Essense of Cartersville, GA; step sister Ashante Swanson; her  grandparents, Earl Day and his wife Geraldine;  Earnest Jackson and his wife, Betty all of Ferriday; seven  aunts and three  uncles. Two special friends, Cortland Flournoy of Ferriday and Gloria Jean Brown of Clayton.

Also six  nephews,  neighbors, classmates and other relatives and friends.
