Funeral services for Ora Grace Jackson, of New Roads, LA formerly of Ferriday, LA will be held March 25, 2017 at 11:00am from the Harvest Baptist Church, 305 Lake Drive in Ferriday. Burial will follow at the Clayton Garden of Rest in Clayton, LA. Rev. Charles G. Chandler will officiate. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00 to 7:30pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jackson, daughter of Willie and Lucy Harrison Holly, was born in Goodpine, LA and died at Baton Rouge General Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA. She was a retired 5th grade teacher of math and science for Concordia Parish School System for over thirty years. She received her formal education at Grambling State University in Grambling, LA.

She is survived by her two daughters, Lois Jackson and her husband, Kevin Bridgewater of New Roads, LA and Regina Jackson of Ferriday; three brothers, Earl Holly of Albuquerque, MN; Lionel Holly and his wife, Alice of Las Vegas, NV; Lawrence Holly and his wife, Rosalind of Denver, CO; two granddaughters, Kaila and Melaina both of Lafayette, LA.

Also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mrs. Jackson is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Edward Jackson.
