Funeral services for Raymond E. Calice, Sr. 70, of Jonesville, LA formerly of New Orleans, LA will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 11:00am at the Branch Bell Baptist Church, 1231 St. Maurice Ave., New Orleans, LA 70117. Burial will follow at the Providence Memorial Park Cemetery, 8200 Airline Hwy Drive, Metairie, LA 70003 under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home, 609 Alabama Ave, Ferriday, LA 71334. Rev. Ray T. Inglehart will officiate.

Visitation will be held Friday evening at Concordia Funeral Home from 5 to 6pm and again on Saturday morning from 10am to service time at the church in New Orleans.

Mr. Calice, son of Sherman and Olga Frederick Calice was born in New Orleans and died at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday. He was retired from the Regional Transit Authority (RTA)as a bus driver.

He is survived by his wife, Nora Baker Calice of Jonesville; three sons, Raymond Calice, Jr. and Marvin Young both of Dallas, TX; Kyren Calice and his wife, Stacie of New Orleans; one brother, Sherman Calice and his wife Zenobia of New Orleans; two sisters, Melva Mercier and her husband, Charles of Kansas City, MO and Easter Canady of St. Louis, MO; four brothers-in-law, Rev. Thess Baker, Jr., Henry Baker and Bob Baker all of Jonesville, LA; Huey Baker of Los Angeles, CA; two sisters-in-law, Esther Baker and Mildred Baker Johnson and her husband, Henry all of Greensboro,. NC; five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
