Funeral services for Rhoda Dell Whitley, 84, of Vidalia, LA will be held Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026 at 11:00am from the Young's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Vidalia.  Burial will follow at the Vidalia Cemetery under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA. Pastor Louis Banks will officiate. A visitation will be held Friday evening from 4 to 6pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Whitley, daughter of Jessie Scott and Virginia King Scott was born in Vidalia and died at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA. She was retired from retail sales and a member of Young's Chapel Church.

She leaves to honor and cherish her memories, her children, Joe Whitley, Jr. of Vidalia; Louis Whitley (Kim) of Clayton, LA; Rhoda Whitley of Dallas, TX; four sisters, Madeline Scott, Alma Jean Bowman (Leonard), Henrietta Ryan (Carl) and Deloris Bell all of Vidalia; five grandchildren, Jaruis Whitley (Quitta), Louis Whitley (Keana), DaQuinta Whitley all of Baton Rouge, LA; Michael Whitley (Giselle) of Chicago, IL; Joshua Whitley of Vidalia.

Also  her best friends, Frances Williams, Irma Ivory and Ruby Davis all of Vidalia.

Preceding her in death are her parents, two brothers, Louis Scott, Don Scott and one sister, Shirley Mae Bowman.
