Ricahrd L. Johnson's Obituary
Services for Richard L. Johnson, 62, of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, May 24,2014 at 1:00pm from Greater St. Reed Baptist Church in Ferriday. Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery with Bishop Justin Conner officiating.
Mr. Johnson, son of Richard Prater and Ruby Johnson was born in Ferriday and died at his residence. He was a retired jailer for Concordia Parish Sheriff's Office.
He is survived by his mother, Ruby Johnson; one daughter, Keashonda Newbill; one son, Sherman Hawkins; two brothers, Harris Johnson and Charles Johnson; three sisters, Patricia Martin, Brenda Johnson and Ella Marie Scott and her husband, Eddie Lee all of Ferriday; eleven grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other cousins.
Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his father.
