Funeral services for Richard Glen Carter, Sr., 68, of Monterey, LA will be held December 4, 2018 at 11:00am from the Monterey Pentecostal
Faith Tabernacle Church in Monterey, LA. Burial will follow at the Ellard Cemetery in Monterey with Brother Glaspell officiating.

Mr. Carter, son of Luther and Lolla Wiley Carter was born in Ferriday, LA and died at his residence.  He was a retired heavy equipment operator.

He is survived by his wife, Virgie Mae Dupuis Carter of Monterey; two sons, Richard Carter, Jr. and his wife, Tammie Joe of Vidalia, LA;
Benjamin Ross; one daughter, Yolanda Carter and her husband, Joseph; one brother, Lil'Bud Carter and his wife, Dorothy;
two sisters, Shirley Ellard and her husband, Charles; Tiny Moreland and her husband, Charles; one uncle, Sidney Wiley all of Monterey;
one aunt, Helen Carter of Start, LA; nine grandchildrem and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Carter is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Luther E. Carter, Sr.; two grandchildren, Ashely and Ben Carter, Jr.
