Funeral services for Miss Ruby Hooper, 63, of Calumet Park, IL, formerly of Vidalia, LA will be held Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 12:00 noon from Saint Thomas Baptist Church in Levee Heights, Ferriday, LA. Interment will be held at Vidalia Cemetery in Vidalia, LA under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday. Visitation will be held from 10:00am to service time, Thursday morning at the church.

Miss Hooper, daughter of James and Elvira Lyles Hooper was born in Natchez, MS and died at her brother's residence while attending the Lyles Family Reunion in Port Allen, LA.

She is survived by two brothers, Albert Hooper and his wife, Lois of Port Allen; Specner Gray and his wife, Ethel of Gulfport, MS; two sisters, Patricia Hooper and her husband, Thomas Stokes; Dorothy Johnson and her husband, Melvin all of Chicago, IL.

Also special niece, Livia Hooper; special nephews, Darrell and Dwayne Hooper all of Chicago. And a number of other nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents.
