Funeral services for Shenita Katrell Beech-Dunbar of Clayton, LA  will be held Friday, September 27, 2019 at 11:00 am from the Mercy Seat Baptist Church, 406 Fifth Street, Ferriday, LA. Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery with military honors. Professional services are entrusted to Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 4  to 7pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dunbar, daughter of Patsy Johnson and Levi  Dunbar was born in Natchez, MS and died at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday. She was a correctional officer and a US Navy veteran during the Gulf War from 1991 to 1997 earning an honorable discharge.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her mother; four children, Javonta Beech, Marquante Meredith, Jamayai Allen, and Parish Dunbar; one brother, Stacy Johnson and his wife, Tameka; one sister, Renata Johnson all of Ferriday.

Also a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, friends and loved ones.

Mrs.  Dunbar was  preceded in death by her father.
