Funeral services for Mrs. Sherlyn M. Long, 70, of Ferriday, LA, formerly of New Orleans, LA will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 11:00am from the Zion Hill Baptist Church in Ferriday. Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery in Natchez, MS. Pastor LeRoy White will officiate. Services entrusted to Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday.

Mrs. Long, daughter of Henry Dickerson and Ora Dixon, was born in New Orleans and died at her residence in Ferriday. She was a member, along with her husband, were members of Zion Hill Baptist Church where they both served as ushers.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Long of Ferriday; three children, Bryon Rousell and his wife, Toni of Los Angeles, CA; Ivan Rousell and his wife, Nikki of Houston, TX; Kenyetta L. Long of New Orleans; her mother, Ora Dixon of Baton Rouge, LA; three brothers, Larry Dixon and his wife, Alfredia of Baton Rouge; Darrell Dixon of Sacramento, CA; Michael Dixon of New Orleans. Also six grandchildren and  a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father.
