Funeral services for Sylvester Jones, 65, of Ferriday, LA, who passed on April 7, 2024  in Prairieville, LA with his loving family right at his side, will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Word of Faith Ambassadors Worship Center Outreach in Ferriday, LA. Pastor Robbie Cade Furdge  will officiate. Burial will follow at the Paige Family Cemetery in Ferriday under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 6pm at the funeral home.

Sylvester Jones was born Nov. 15, 1958,in Ferriday, the son of Roosevelt, Sr. and Bertha Cage Jones.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bernard Jones.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories to his wife, Glenda Paige Jones; two sons, Terrence Jones, Kazeric Gorham, all of Ferriday, LA; five daughters, Tawanna Carter her husband, Calvin of Baton Rouge, LA; Dakeeta Gorham of Cartersville,; GA, Shontelle Hawkins and  her husband, Sherman; Denitria Gorham, Danielle Gorham; five brothers, Roosevelt Jones, Jr., Leroy Jones, Carl Jones, Calvin Jones, and his wife, Pamela; and  Jeffery Jones; two sisters, Phronel Mays,and her husband Freddie; Ruby Moore and  her husband Marvin all of Ferriday,; nineteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; four aunts, two uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
