Funeral services for Valerie Ann Prosser, 65, of Ferriday, LA will be held Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 10:00am from the Harvest Baptist Church, 305 Lake Drive in Ferriday. Burial will follow at the Panola Cemetery in St. Joseph, LA with Rev. Charles Chandler officiating.

Mrs. Prosser, daughter of Theodore Roosevelt Prosser, Jr. and Anetta Frazier Prosser was born in Newellton, LA and died at her residence from injuries sustained in a house fire at her residence.

She is survived by three children, John Prosser, Sr., Kenneth Prosser, Sr. and his wife, Keisha; Treniece Washington and her husband, Maurice all of Ferriday; two brothers, Terrance Prosser and Gerry Prosser both of Greenville, MS; four sisters, Juanita Walker of St. Joseph, LA; Fannie E. Frazier of New Orleans, LA; Flora Marshall of Houston, TX; Jacquelyn Higgonbottom of Chicago, IL.

Also one aunt, Ellen McGinnis of New Orleans; nine grandchildren; two children she raised as her own, Mario Keon Byrd and Jermanie Allen both of Ferriday.
