Funeral services for Vera M. Whitley, 70, of Vidalia, LA will be held Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11:00am from Triumph Baptist Church in Vidalia under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4 to 7pm at the funeral home with Order of Eastern Star ceremonies performed at 6:00pm. Rev. Leon Dixon will officiate. She will be interred beside her mother and grandparents at St. Matthew Church Cemetery on Lake St. John.

Mrs. Whitley, daughter of John Stevenson and Ruby Lee Morales was born in Ferriday and died at her residence following a long illness. She was an auditor for Vidalia Apparel.

She is survived by three sons, Eric Whitley, Ronnie Morales and his wife, Tassika; Kenneth Morales all of Vidalia; one brother, J. D. Stevenson and his wife, Annie of Pineville, LA; three sisters, Angela Morales of West Monroe, LA; Rosemary Morales of Vidalia and Joyce Johnson of Ferriday; two aunts, Elize Williams and her husband, Robert Earl of St. Joseph, LA; Juliann Robinson of Vidalia; two uncles, Lucky Morales and his wife, Lillian of Ferriday; Johnny Mack Morales of Vidalia.

Also six grandchildren, Christopher King, Tionna Morales, Taylour Morales, Danilla Jofferson and Erin Whitley all of Vidalia; Jashondra Smith of Ferriday; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; two special friends, Archie Johnson of Ferriday and LaSandra Holt and her husband, Alfred of Vidalia.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her grandparents, Pete and Rosanna Collins Morales and a number of aunts and uncles.
